Puppy Kindergarten (Metchosin)

Puppies remain in a sensitive socialization period up until 18 weeks of age. Start your puppy off on the right paw during those impressionable early weeks in this class that includes socialization, solutions to common puppy problems and an introduction to basic life skills to help your puppy grow up to be a manageable, confident and happy dog. This fun and interactive class helps strengthen the bond between you and your new puppy!

Our Puppy Kindergarten is now Rolling Enrollment! Join Any Tuesday!

Hop into class as soon as your puppy is ready, and complete four educational units in any order.  You will benefit from different people and puppies each week. 

We encourage you to join as soon as possible, early socialization is key, and your puppy does not need all three sets of vaccinations to participate. 

4 weeks of class, 45 mins each.

Maximum 6 puppies per class. Trainer to puppy ratio of 1:3.

$200 + GST

REQUIREMENTS:

Between 2-5 months of age at the first session

Up-to-date on DAPP vaccination schedule, minimum 1st set

  • Intro to Basic Life Skills
  • Food & Object Guarding Prevention
  • Sound Sensitivity Prevention
  • Body Handling Acceptance
  • Grooming & Vet Cooperative Care
  • Exploration of Novel Sights, Objects & Surfaces
  • Solutions for Biting, Chewing and House Training

 

How To Book Rolling Enrollment Classes:
1) Select “Add To Cart” from the online scheduler below.
2) FIll out the “Your Cart” information and click “Pay and Confirm”
3) Click on the button labeled “Use Package” – this takes you to a Select Appointment page , where you will choose “Book”. 
4) You will see a page with all the available Tuesdays for classes.  Choose one, click “Select and add another time”, add two more, and then on the fourth selection choose “select and continue”.  
You will want to choose consecutive Tuesdays, if possible.  Each class is its own standalone unit, and there are four units.  Selecting four consecutive Tuesdays allows you to complete all four units.  However, if there is a Tuesday you will miss, you can skip a Tuesday and add another – you will just have a repeated unit (which is fine for puppy class as they all include practice of the basics such as socialization, playtime and re-call training. 
4) After you have selected your four dates, you will fill out the short Puppy Kindergarten Registration form.
